Celebrating Stark!

Celebrate Stark, our book club's Chief Cuddles Officer (CCO), with your dog and fellow booklovers by bringing your current read to the iconic Wellington Market Food Hall. Located at 486 Front St W (Lower Level), this is the place to experience local classics and undiscovered favourites all together under one roof. It also happens to be one of Stark's favourite spots in the city!

Look for Reisha and her mini poodle Stark in the Lower Level at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, August 25 (exact location to be announced on the day of). If the sun comes out and the air is clear, we will gather outside on the lower level patio.

A portion of your purchase will be donated to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society to fund their ongoing Northern Ontario wildfire emergency response efforts. If you're unable to join us on this date, please consider donating directly if you're able. Your donation will help fund:

• Partnerships: The Ontario SPCA is working closely with the Ministry of Emergency Preparedness and Response, the Red Cross, municipalities, Airbnb, and animal welfare partners across Ontario to offer support for animals and families impacted by the wildfires.
• 211Ontario Support: The Ontario SPCA is working with 211Ontario to help connect people affected by the wildfires with pet-related resources.
• Pet-friendly housing for displaced families.
• RV parking support.
• Livestock support.
• Pet emergency boarding.
• Emergency pet supplies.
• Animal Transport/Relocation.
• Veterinary Support.

What to Expect:

This is a silent reading-style book club. You may read a book of your choice at your own pace and converse with fellow members at your leisure. Dogs are not mandatory but are absolutely encouraged!

Important Reminders:

• Dogs must be leashed at all times, and must be on the floor and on a leash, and not on seats or laps.
• For silent reading time, we ask you to keep your dog close by and leashed. Please do not allow your dog to run around and play during the book club.
• Toronto summer weather is unpredictable, so please prepare accordingly.

Ticket Price Breakdown:

1. $2.40 service and processing fees
2. $10 donation to Ontario SPCA and Humane Society
3. $5 to treats for Stark, our Chief Cuddling Officer and Mascot
