Join the day of migrant heritage activities inspired by Outside In, our community-led photography exhibition about how migrants bring the world to Scotland. Those portrayed in the photographs and our migrant photographers will share their traditions and stories with event participants at the Maryhill Burgh Halls. You will have a chance to:

Take a TOUR OF THE EXHIBITION with our Outside In team (drop-in, 3:30 - 6 pm) and collect bookmarks with insights about migrant communities

Be part of TAIWANESE TEA-BREWING CEREMONY with Hsiao-Chiang Wang and Yen-Ting Lin (drop-in, 3:30 - 5:30 pm)

Taste ERITREAN COFFEE with Ghergishu Awte (drop-in, 3:30 - 5:30 pm)

Have a go at POLISH FOLK CRAFTS with Marta Adamowicz (drop-in, 4 - 5:30 pm)

Relax in a TAI CHI session with Hing Fung Teh (4:30 - 5:15 pm and 5:15 - 6 pm)

Listen to migrants sharing their stories as part of our HUMAN LIBRARY (5 - 6 pm)

Paint MASKS and try on COSTUMES with Peking Opera Society (7 - 8:30 pm)

And dance your shoes off at our MULTICULTURAL CEILIDH DANCING with tunes from around the world! (6:30 - 9 pm)

You can attend the whole event or any part of it. Light refreshments will be served. Guided tours of the exhibition will run every half an hour from 3:30 pm to 6 pm. The exhibition is open until Friday 21 February within Maryhill Burgh Halls’ opening hours (Monday - Friday 10 am-5 pm) and additionally 7 - 9 pm on Mondays. This event is part of Putting Ourselves in the Picture project by Migrant Voice. Thank you to The National Lottery Heritage Fund for making this event and the whole project possible!
