Grenache is such an intriguing grape, but it is so often blended with other grapes that it is hard to get to know its real personality. (It is a key player in wine such as GSM - Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre). But we are going to let it shine on its own in this class. The name "Grenache" is used more often in France and other parts of the world, while the name "Garnacha" is used primarily in Spain where the grape is thought to have originated. This grape is known for its ability to produce wines with high alcohol content, low to moderate acidity, and flavors of red and dark fruits with hints of spice. With cool autumn weather moving in, this is a perfect red to have on hand.
