About this Event
Hosted by Generation WE, this special Flour & Ink experience invites young readers and their families to gather for a meaningful and engaging afternoon at The Market at 7th Street. We’ll begin with a read aloud of Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story, a beautiful and award-winning children’s book that celebrates the richness of Indigenous culture, history, and community. Following the story, kids will participate in a hands-on activity inspired by the themes of the book—bringing storytelling to life through creativity, connection, and culture. Each child in attendance will receive their own copy of Fry Bread to take home, along with a token for a free scoop of ice cream from The Social Cow—because every great story deserves a sweet ending.Generation WE is dedicated to creating a more inclusive future by offering children opportunities to explore and embrace differences. Through diverse literature and multi-sensory activities, they encourage kids to reflect on their own experiences while learning from others—fostering empathy, understanding, and a stronger sense of community from an early age. This event is free and open to families. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot!
