Experience the emotional depth of Carlos Simon’s An Elegy for String Orchestra and George Walker’s evocative Lyric for String Orchestra.
Discover the timeless beauty of Florence Price’s Adoration for Strings and indulge in the syncopated rhythms of Scott Joplin’s iconic ragtime pieces, including Maple Leaf, The Easy Winners, and The Entertainer. The concert concludes with Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s resplendent Black Dance, reflecting the vibrant spirit of African heritage.
