About this Event

Lone Star College - Montgomery will host 'Celebrating Black Excellence: Black is Educated', on Saturday, February 18, 4:30pm - 7:30pm in Building D - Performing Arts Center - Main Theatre. This event will highlight the contributions of Black figures in a variety of professional arenas, celebrate the impact of Divine 9 fraternities and sororities, Black businesses and leaders, promote college enrollment for Lone Star College, and support transfer opportunities to historically historically black colleges such as Texas Southern University and Prairie View A&M University as well as feature artistic expression in the form of stepping.

This event will include a college fair in order to provide information to interested college students who desire to seek workforce careers, general education or transfer to a local university.

This is a family event - which means any persons of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities and professions are invited to attend -- especially interested college students. Please use the form to RSVP for yourself and any number of persons you wish to bring along with you.
