About this Event

Aperture members are invited to a private, in-person event at Creator House in New York City, celebrating the newly released Aperture children’s book The Colors We Share by Angélica Dass.

By depicting people from all over the world against backgrounds that match their individual skin tones, Angélica Dass shows us how wonderfully colorful humans really are, questioning the concept of race and the limited categories we use to describe each other.

This special evening will consist of a conversation between Dass and educator Monique Vogelsang, as they explore the bookʼs themes, which encourage looking, questioning, and thinking bigger—inviting us to consider race and our common humanity in a new way.

Following the talk will be a cocktail party on the roof of Creator House.

This event is for Aperture members only. Not a member? See here or email [email protected] for details.

Aperture and Creator House will adhere to local health and safety guidelines, where proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test will be required to attend. We are closely monitoring local and CDC guidelines and will update everyone on any changes that may need to be made.
