On June 30th, 1972, Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge was officially established as part of the National Wildlife Refuge system and became America's first and largest urban national wildlife refuge! As part of the celebration, we are throwing a birthday party! Join us in celebrating 50 years of Conservation—Past, Present, and Future. There will be fun for the entire family including, ranger walks and talks, face painting, history talks, activities, refreshments, and more!
