Come celebrate World Ocean Day! The ocean is home to over a million species of plants and animals. It houses some of the smallest living things, like phytoplankton and algae, which produce much of the world’s oxygen. It is also home to the biggest animal, the blue whale! Let’s marvel at the ocean as we make a mini-tide pool habitat using touchable objects, explore the Museum & Theatre’s tide pool tank, and identify ocean plant life with a sensory seaweed table.
Special Friday Programming:
Connected Waters: Interactive Watershed Model (World Ocean Day Program) with City of Portland Water Resources 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Sensory Seaweed with Visiting Scientist: Gretchen Grebe (World Ocean Day Program) 1:30 pm -2:15 pm
Activities included with admission.
Thank you to Bissell Brothers for their support of Special Days at CMTM.
