Join the Chinese Community Center (CCC) for one of Houston’s most exciting cultural traditions of the year! Since 2003, this festival has brought thousands together for a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and the Lunar New Year. In 2026, our Lunar New Year Festival falls on Valentine’s Day, making this year’s experience extra special with unique activities for families, friends, and couples.

Festival Highlights 

🎭 Spectacular Cultural Performances 

Enjoy lion and dragon dances, face changing opera, martial arts, traditional Asian dances, live music, and more as we welcome the Year of the Horse. 

👘 Onsite Cultural Clothing Parade 

Watch (or join!) a colorful cultural clothing parade showcasing traditional and modern attire from across Asia—perfect for photos and cultural appreciation. 

🍜 Delicious Asian Cuisine 

Taste a wide range of Asian dishes and snacks from local vendors, including homemade favorites from CCC’s Chinese School PTO food booth. 

🎨 Hands-On Cultural Workshops 

Learn calligraphy, make origami, cut Chinese paper art, and dive deeper into cultural traditions through interactive activities. 

🎯 Family-Friendly Fun 

Kids and families can enjoy games, crafts, and cultural activities that make learning fun for all ages.

Because this year’s celebration falls on Valentine’s Day, festival guests can enjoy heart-themed crafts, couples’ photo backdrops, and limited-edition Valentine x Lunar New Year merchandise.
