Roundtables at the Business Agility Institute are facilitated, open conversations designed to explore a specific topic in business agility. Similar to the deep-dive table conversations at the Business Agility conference, a roundtable is an online opportunity to both learn from and share with others in the community. A flexible agenda, lightweight facilitation, and participants ready to connect.

One of the most important findings of the 2023 BAI Skills Report is the need for people to specialize in two (or more) primary skill sets while also having a broad set of complementary general skills. In other words, the idea of a T-shaped person with depth in one primary role skillset has grown stale.
Companies are now looking for individuals with two (or more) areas of deep expertise., along with even more broad generalist skills. It’s a world of “both-and.” They want deep expertise in both agility and equal depth in at least one other functional, domain, or technical area.
Is this need as irrational as the number pi? Or does it reflect a sweet future for people who have learned to learn (and apply) new skills in demand today? Join us for this special roundtable discussion as we celebrate Pi-Day (March 14 = 3.14) with a juicy exploration of the rise of “Pi-shaped” skills in today’s workplace.
