Come celebrate Oaktober—Raleigh’s beautiful fall planting season—and help us kick off a community effort to plant and protect more trees throughout the City of Oaks!
Presented by the Rotary Club of Raleigh, Celebrate Oaktober is a free, family-friendly event bringing together Raleigh residents, environmental organizations, tree lovers, and community partners for a day of trees, nature, education, music, and fun.

11:00 AM–2:00 PM — Family & Nature Activities
Bring the kids and discover why trees are so important to Raleigh and our community.
- 🌱 Learn about Raleigh's urban forest and the importance of planting trees
- 🌳 Explore the many benefits of our native oak trees
- 🐝 Discover pollinators, wildlife, and the natural world around us
- 📚 Enjoy children's reading and environmental education
- 🌿 Participate in hands-on activities
- 🌳 Take home an oak tree sapling to plant
- 🤝 Meet local environmental organizations and community groups
2:00–6:00 PM — Music, Community & Celebration
Stick around for an afternoon of live music, fellowship, and fun on Harvey Hill.

🌎 Growing Raleigh's Future
Celebrate Oaktober is more than a one-day event. It is the kickoff for Raleigh's fall tree-planting season and supports the community's long-term goal of adding 24,000 trees across Raleigh by 2032.
The Rotary Club of Raleigh's America 250 Oak City Tree Campaign has already raised nearly $80,000 and is helping put hundreds of new oak trees into the ground across Raleigh.
Now we're looking ahead.
Celebrate Oaktober will become an annual celebration of Raleigh's trees and the people who plant, protect, and enjoy them.
