4] 4th - 6th: Invitation to take part in jigsaw puzzle event on 17 Sep 2022 against teams from Australia.
1] During registration, teams will be assigned to one of 4 batches. Each batch has a different start time as follows:
• Batch 1 starts at 1pm;
• Batch 2 starts at 2.30pm;
• Batch 3 starts at 4pm; and
• Batch 4 starts at 5.30pm.
Teams can choose their batch, subject to space availability.
2] On 9 Aug, at the batch start time, teams will begin making their jigsaw puzzle. Teams will be given 1hr 30mins to complete their puzzle. Teams who are unable to complete their puzzle within the stipulated time will have to leave the event area, to allow teams from the next batch to begin their turn.
3] Teams who complete their puzzle early can leave the event area and venue.
4] The Organiser will record the time taken to complete the puzzle of all teams. Teams who are unable to complete their puzzle by the stipulated 1hr 30min time limit will have their time recorded as such. The Organiser will tabulate the team times in the form of a leaderboard, which will be publicly displayed.
5] The Organiser’s decision regarding any aspect of the competition is final.
6] The Organiser will capture videos and photographs of the event for posting on social media sites, for the purpose of publicising and promoting its current and future products, activities and programmes. Notwithstanding this, the Organiser will respect your wishes for your images not to be posted publicly.
1] Is the 3 person per team limit a hard rule? What if I have more than 3 persons who want to make the puzzle?
As prizes are given out at the end of the event, it is important that there is fairness in how the event is conducted. If there are more than 3 persons, they can take turns making the puzzle, so long as there are only 3 persons making it at any one time. Notwithstanding the above, to promote a new and fun experience for larger families, children under 7 years of age are not counted in the 3 person limit.
2] Are the prizes expensive?
The prizes do not have large monetary value. We encourage participants to take the event as an opportunity to celebrate National Day with family/friends doing a different activity as part of a new shared experience.
3] Do I have to wait until the end of the event to know the results, or to receive my prize if I am one of the winners?
No you need not. The leaderboard will be updated throughout the event, and made known to participants. Prizes will be given out at the end of the event, to whoever is available to receive the prize in person. If you are unable to be present to receive your prize in person, the organiser will arrange with you to have the prize delivered to you.
4] If I am invited to take part in the jigsaw puzzle event against teams from Australia as part of my prize, can I decline?
Yes you can. The invitation will then be extended to another team.
5] Is there a registration fee for the jigsaw puzzle event against teams from Australia?
Yes, there will be a separate registration fee.
6] I can’t make up my mind now whether to take part in the event. Can I sign up for the event at the venue on 9 Aug itself?
Yes you can, as on-the-spot walk in registration may be accepted. However, this will be subject to space and puzzles availability. We encourage interested participants to pre-register early for the event to avoid disappointment.
