About this Event
The University of Edinburgh invites all teachers and educators to celebrate the beauty and breadth of mathematics! You will get hands-on, try a variety of stimulating mathematical activities, witness mathematical magic and find out what resources the University of Edinburgh can offer to schools and communities. Hopefully you will find some ideas to take to your classroom or community. You will hear from staff members about their research and, overall, you will have a chance to celebrate the creative and fun side of mathematics. Light refreshments will be provided after the event.
The workshop is aimed at all primary teachers, all secondary maths teachers and all educators with an interest in mathematics. We will explore a range of resources, suitable for all ages between 5 and 16.
Below is a tentative program for the workshop.

5 :15-6:30: Hands-on workshop lead by the University Mathematics Outreach Team. Here you will be able to get hands-on and have a go at some of our most popular activities and some "mathematical magic tricks". Hopefully you will get some ideas on resources to use in your classroom.
