Celebrate International Snow Leopard Day - a talk with Wellington Zoo
Advertisement
Celebrate International Snow Leopard Day by joining Te Nukuao Wellington Zoo Keeper, Rafe Driscoll O’Keefe, to hear about Asha and Manju, the two snow leopards who call Pōneke home. Hear about their journey across the Tasman from Melbourne Zoo to a habitat specially designed just for them. Rafe will share what it takes to care for these beautiful animals, collaborating with our conservation partner in Nepal, Mountain Spirit, and how you can help.
Rafe has been a zookeeper for five years and has worked across all the Animal Care Teams, including three years as a Mammals Keeper caring for the snow leopards.
This event will be held in Ngā Paiaka Bleachers, Ground Floor, Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui.
