Celebrate Fyrefly's 20th anniversary at our Mayor's Pride Brunch

Celebrate Fyrefly's 20 years of advocating for the 2SLGBTQ+ community this Pride Month at our Mayor's Pride Brunch. The Brunch will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the Edmonton Convention Centre (Hall D) from 10 AM - 1 PM.

Fyrefly's Mayor's Pride Brunch aims to raise funds to support Fyrefly. Learn about Fyrefly's work and tireless, unwavering advocacy with remarks from Fyrefly's Executive Director, Dr. Glynnis Lieb, our Programs Manager, Evan Westfal, and our Where the Rivers Meet Program Coordinator, Rae Madge. Fyrefly's Communications and Events Coordinator, Yasmine Abdel Razek, will also be MC'ing our event.

Formal programming will start at 11, with Dr. Lana Whiskeyjack starting off our program in a good way. There will be remarks by Mayor Amarjeet Sohi, your iconic brunch favorites, and an extravagant drag show!

There will be a reception from 10 AM - 11 PM for folks to mingle and there will also be a Pride Community Resource Fair, which will highlight resources and supports available to the 2SLGBTQ+ community. During the reception and in-between formal programming, Girls Club DJ will be playing some fabulous brunch tunes that'll keep you feeling energized throughout the event!
