VIVA MEXICO! VIVA MEXICO!! VIVA MEXICO!!! Mexico’s most energetic celebration is, once again, nearly upon us with September 16 marking Mexico’s Independence Day (Dia de Independencia). Millions will kick off the celebration with El Grito (the Cry); a traditional shout of: “Viva México!” Every September 15 around 11PM, the President of Mexico stands on the balcony of the National Palace in Mexico City and rings the same bell the Hidalgo rang in 1810. The President then recites as shout of patriotism based on the “Grito de Dolores”, with the names of the important heroes of the Mexican War of Independence who were there on that historic day. The Grito ends with the threefold shout of ¡Viva México!
Sept 15th Lizard Joes Yucatexa invites you to celebrate El Grito with us! To celebrate we are fortunate to have Vania Pallaras and Soulvivors perform at 9PM. If you have ever seen Vania perform at Lizard Joes, then you know how awesome a singer she is and that since she has moved to Europe, what a rare opportunity this is to see her again. Come enjoy Soulvivors band, with Vania, Charles Fletcher, Omar Castro on Drums and Sergio Gomez on Guitar. You won’t find a better band than this so don’t miss it.
Afterwards we will be showing the Cry of Dolores from Mexico City Live on our 5 TVs.
Cover $100 pesos Reservations Highly Recommended
