Dear members,
We would like to inform you that our multiculturalism event date and location have been postponed due to internal organizational matters.
Our event, “Celebrate Canada: Unity in Diversity”, will now be held on June 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Parc Provencher @parcprovence in the heart of Saint Boniface.
The event will now be organized in a picnic style. Please bring your own chair, cups or glasses, and sunshade.
We are pleased to introduce our special guest, Austin Sitting-Eagle @austin.sittingeagle , who will lead part of the event. Austin is a respected Indigenous community leader, educator, and traditional singer based in Winnipeg.
As a Knowledge Keeper, Austin and his group will present:
* Drum teachings
* Powwow demonstrations
* Performances by the Singing Wolf Drum Group
There will also be performances by other cultural groups, along with speeches, music, food, and drinks.
As Canada hosts the 2026 FIFA World Cup this year, a soccer game will also be played at the same location. Bring your running shoes! We will provide soccer pinnies that can be worn over T-shirts, shirts, or dresses.
We are going to have so much fun — don’t miss out!
