May 29 Ceilidh with Michael Pendergast - the Pendys with special guest Ray MacDonald and guest fiddler Flora MacLaine. Step dancers will be Grace Sulis-Chaisson, and Lillianna BradleyMichael Pendergast will be on accordion and is the lead vocalist. Hailing from Tracadie Cross, he grew up in a household full of music. His father, Reg, entertained with music and his mother, Eileen, organized the rest of the family into the semblance of a family choir and drove her son to piano lessons weekly, promoting music as an integral part of Pendergast family life. He has played to younger audiences for many years so he has a very large following of young children who know him as the “Music Man”. He has also released two children’s albums, four traditional music albums, & two gospel albums.
Joining Michael will be his brother-in-law fiddler Andy Doucette and Michael's brothers David and Robert Pendergast, making the performance a real family affair.
The event will feature special guest and well recognized Ray MacDonald who plays guitar, banjo and mandolin.
Flora MacLaine of New Glasgow is the guest fiddler. Flora also teaches stepdancing.
We will also be featuring exceptional step dancers Grace Sulis-Chaisson, and Lillianna Bradley. Grace Sulis-Chaisson recently won the 2024 PEI Youth Talent Search Provincial Finals at the Summerside Lobster Carnival, so we know first hand how incredibly talented she is. Lilliana Bradley will be dancing along with Grace during the show and she is a fabulous dancer as well.
Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7:30. Tickets are $20, Members $18, Children under 12 at $5. Advance tickets are available thru the website or at the door.
