Ceilidh

Organized cèilidhs (Scottish dances) are very common in Scotland today. All generations come together at a cèilidh and the dances vary in difficulty and speed, so there is something for everyone. There is a caller to organize the event, who announces the dance and assists with the proceedings.

The Narhalladancers are a mixed group of Scottish dancers from Mainz and the surrounding area who meet on Fridays in Gonsenheim for music and dancing and are always happy to welcome new dancers. Previous experience is not required, but is also no obstacle - after all, it's always fun!
