Now in its 24th year, Cedars Open Studios is DFW's largest open studio art tour.
This year, the tour is dedicated to the memory of Albert Scherbarth — a founding spirit of the Cedars artists community and founding member of the Cedars Open Studios Tour itself, who passed away in February at age 70.
Albert arrived in The Cedars in the early 1980s, when the neighborhood was little more than a quiet stretch of abandoned warehouses south of downtown. Among the first artists to make it home, he helped shape the creative community that defines the district today. Over decades spent working in historic Dallas studios, he built a body of work spanning printmaking, furniture, concrete, and steel. Alongside fellow artist Keith Turman, he also created the neighborhood's beloved Bowler Hat sculpture, which remains on public view. This year's tour honors not only Albert's work, but the artistic community he helped build.
What to Expect:
A self-guided tour through 100+ Cedars artists' studios, galleries, businesses, and public spaces. Come and go as you please. Stops include Tin Ranch Studios, Rule Six Studios, Cedars Union, South Side on Lamar, and more.

6:30 – 8:00 PM (location TBD)
