About this Event
For the first time in New York, experience Cecil B. DeMille’s silent film classic, King of Kings, with live surround-sound accompaniment. This extraordinary presentation brings the 1927 epic to life with a stunning blend of music and film.
Co-sponsored by Brooklyn Chapter-American Guild of Organists and New York Theater Organ Society, renowned silent film organist Peter Krasinski will improvise the music for the entire film on the theater organ from the front, while organist Gregory D'Agostino enhances the experience with dramatic special effects from the powerful Skinner pipe organ in the rear gallery. Adding to the spectacle, a 25-voice choir will amplify the film’s most powerful moments, filling the space with a soaring, cinematic choral sound.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness DeMille’s masterpiece as it was meant to be seen—and heard!
