About this Event

The CDTPS presents the 2026 DRM402 Directors’ Showcase, featuring scenes from Caryl Churchill's Love and Information staged over two evenings and one matinee performance. This theatrical event runs from November 27 to 29 at the Playhouse. The Directors’ Showcase is a capstone course that gives student directors the opportunity to flex their creative muscles onstage.

Love and Information is one of the most inventive and celebrated plays of contemporary theatre. Exploring human connection, communication, memory, technology and the ways we navigate an increasingly information-saturated world, the play unfolds through more than fifty short scenes filled with secrets, discoveries, obsessions, relationships and unexpected encounters.

Funny, moving, surprising and intellectually adventurous, Love and Information offers performers the opportunity to explore a wide range of characters and theatrical styles within a single production.

Shows will run at the following dates and times:
Friday, Nov. 27, 7:30 PM
Saturday, Nov. 28, 7:30 PM
Sunday, Nov. 29, 2:00 PM

There will be an opening night reception following the performance on November 27, 2026.

The showcase is directed by four students enrolled in DRM402: Advanced Directing.
