• Opening & Indigenous Allyship: We open the forum with grounding reflections and special greetings.
• Keynote – The Redress Movement: Keynote speakers Justice Avvy Go and Gary Yee will reflect on the Head Tax Redress struggle, sharing the behind-the-scenes organizing, lessons learned through trial and error, and what the movement’s legacy means today.
• Double Debate Spotlight: Did the 2006 apology and redress create lasting change in the fight against anti-Asian racism? And in today’s organizing, is social media helping us build power or driving polarization and burnout? Join us for two lively debates that tackle these questions head-on.
• Online Harms Legislation: Online Hate, Regulation, and Responsibility: Ryan Chan and Viola Tian present CCNC-SJ’s research alongside expert panellists on tackling the tough questions of platform responsibility, free expression, and effective regulation.
• National Chinatown Panel: Grassroots organizers will share what’s working, what hasn't, and what communities are still fighting for to keep Chinatowns thriving.
• Film Screening – Big Fight in Little Chinatown: Director Karen Cho introduces her acclaimed documentary, ending the day with a powerful story of community resistance.

• ACENet Expert Panel - BIPOC Leadership & the Canadian Education System: A masterful panel of educators and community advocates discuss the examination of discrimination in Canadian schools, leadership gaps and what culturally responsive education looks like in practice.
• Pan-Asian Solidarity Gathering: Participants roll up their sleeves with hands-on activities, mapping pathways for school engagement with a Freedom Dreaming exercise to express future visions for inclusive education.
• Chinatown Caucus: A national roundtable where Chinatown groups from across Canada convene to align priorities, share strategies, and explore creating resource networks to support each other’s work long after the forum ends

Twenty years ago, the federal government apologized for the Chinese Head Tax and Exclusion Act, and a watershed moment was won through decades of relentless community organizing. Many of you were there. You marched, you organized, you refused to let this history be forgotten. Now, CCNC-SJ invites you back to Toronto for a gathering that honours that legacy and channels it into the fights that still matter.
