About Levitt Pavilion Denver Free Concert:

All free series shows are all-ages. The concert on this day is Las Cafeteras.

The description provided: Las Cafeteras have taken the music scene by storm with their infectious live performances and have crossed many genres and borders along the way. Their electric sound & energy has taken them around the world playing shows from Bonnaroo to the Hollywood Bowl, WOMAD New Zealand to Montreal Jazz, & beyond!

Born and raised East of the Los Angeles River, Las Cafeteras are remixing roots music as modern day troubadours. They are a sonic explosion of Afro-Mexican rhythms, electronic beats and powerful rhymes that document stories of a community seeking to ‘build a world where many world fit.’

From Afro-Mexican to Americana, from Soul to Son Jarocho, from Roots to Rock and Hip Hop, Las Cafeteras take folk music to the future.

Las Cafeteras honor the past by using electrifying traditional instrumentation like the 8 string Jarana, 4 string Requinto, Quijada (donkey jawbone) and Tarima (a wooden platform). Las Cafeteras sing in 5 distinct languages, English, Spanish, Spanglish, Love and Justice … and they believe everyone understands at least one of those languages.

Know Before You Go:

You'll want to bring chairs, blankets, or something else to sit on to hang out on the grass. There will be food trucks at the venue.

Here are the rules and regulations for the Levitt Pavilion Denver free concert series. Please note that pets (unless they are service animals), alcoholic beverages, marijuana, or illegal drugs, glass, aluminum cans, weapons, and more are prohibited.

ADA seating is available in the rear left and right of the sound booth.

Levitt Pavilion Denver offers resources for folks with sensory needs, including noise canceling headphones and fidget toys available at the Levitt check-in tent to borrow during the free concert series.

For further questions or specific accommodation requests, please email [email protected]

Transportation and Parking:

Levitt Pavilion Denver is located in Ruby Hill Park. Parking is available. The park is nearish (1 mile away from) the 11 and 22 bus lines.

ADA parking is adjacent to the entrance and is first come first served.

Masking and COVID Safety:

If you can, please take a COVID test prior to the event (right before you leave). Rapid tests increase in accuracy if you do a sequence with 48 hours in between (meaning, it's a good idea to test Wednesday and right before the event on Friday if possible). It's also more accurate if you swab cheeks, throat, and nose. We strongly encourage folks to mask. COVID-19 is not over, and masking is a low-stakes, easy way to protect our most vulnerable community members.

If you don't feel well, please cancel your registration and stay home. FOMO may be real, but so is community care and the fact that we're not going anywhere! You can join us next time when you're well.
