About this event
This course covers cross-connection and backflow prevention. Course topics include principles of backflow prevention, theory of cross-connection control, plumbing codes, inspector and tester responsibilities, as well as repair, troubleshooting, and testing of backflow assemblies. As an optional feature of this training course, eligible and approved attendees may take the Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification exams (both the written and hands-on practical exams) for free at the end of this training course. Attendees that are only interested in the training may choose not to take the certification exams.
Part 2 meets: Monday through Friday (In-person)
Dates: June 22-26, 2026
Times: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Local Time)
Location: Tempe, AZ

The Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification exams (both the written and hands-on practical exams) will be available to students that complete the entire training course.
