David Baker has been a respected leader in business, politics & sports throughout his career. Most recently, he retired after serving as President of the Pro Football Hall of Fame for eight years. During his tenure, he fostered the mission, vision, and values of the Hall, and developed the initial vision to build Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium and Hall of Fame Village around the Hall. He significantly increased the Hall’s exposure, sponsorship, licensing, media rights and services to Hall of Famers. He was the leader that brought the Black College Football Hall of Fame and Classic to Canton, Ohio, helped develop Centennial Plaza in Downtown Canton and generally enhanced the selection & announcement of Enshrinees with the “Knock on the Door,” Enshrinement and much more.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said. "In eight years as president and CEO of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, David expanded the Hall's brand nationally and footprint locally in Canton, Ohio. The growth he envisioned led to the expansion of the Hall of Fame, spread to downtown Canton, and will continue to have a tremendous impact on the future of the Hall for decades to come. His mission to honor and support the heroes of the game will be one of his most lasting and important legacies.”

In recognition of his leadership, Baker received the prestigious honor of being named the March of Dimes National Sports Leader of the Year for 2018. In 2023, he received the Founders Award from the Black College Football Hall of Fame.

Baker is also a past Mayor and Councilman for the City of Irvine, California, a practicing lawyer, the Managing Partner for Union Village, a 178-acre Integrated Health Village in Henderson NV and served as Commissioner for the Arena Football League for twelve years.

Baker presently serves as President and CEO of both LEGENDARY LIVING and WORLD YOUTH SPORTS, one of the fastest growing youth sports organizations in the world, dedicated to providing the highest level of professional sports management to both the business and experience of youth sports so that we can “Bring the children of our world TOGETHER to make a difference beyond any imagined!” He now lives in Orange County, California with his wife, Colleen, four children, ten grandchildren & two great grandchildren.
