Speaker: Rick Dykema - President of Cirrus Medical Technologies (CMT)
With over 30+ years of experience in the medical device and medical equipment industry, Rick Dykema currently serves as President of Cirrus Medical Technologies (CMT) a company he started 18 years ago. CMT is a local Florida medical company that sells and services medical equipment and devices used in the surgical and interventional areas in hospitals and outpatient surgery centers. With Rick’s experience he is often consulting with hospital leadership and architects on the design of new surgical area’s using the newest technology. Rick graduated from Penn State University in 1989 with a BS degree in Marketing and started his career with Xerox Corporation in Philadelphia area. Soon after, he transitioned into the medical field going to work for U.S. Surgical Corporation and moving to California.
He went from selling copiers and printers to educating surgeons on new laparoscopic devices and facilitating teaching them techniques on how to use these devices. From there Rick went to work for Berchtold, a small German surgical lighting and boom equipment company assisting their growth in the US market. Rick was then recruited by Hill-Rom, a Hillenbrand Industry company, and was moved to South Florida as a General Manager, until 2007 when he started CMT.
Rick has been married to Susie Dykema for 25 years, and has three daughters, Lindley (23), Chloe (21) and Maya (19). Rick has had a relationship with the Lord since his confirmation at 13 years old at his United Methodist Church in Doylestown PA. It was not until he moved to Florida and met his current wife that he truly became born again, while attending Northland Community in Orlando. Rick and his wife have attended Calvary Chapel South Florida since their kids started school there and have served as Deacon and Deaconess for many years. Recently they have started attending Anchor Church, Boynton, Beach, a newer start up church, led by pastor’s Shaun and Teresa Blakeney. Rick has been involved in Lifework Leadership, served on the board of Heart 2 Heart Ministry as well as the development council for 4KIDs. Rick is an avid cyclist, snow skier and the outdoors. He loves to spend time with his wife and three daughters, whether it is traveling to a new country or just hanging out at the kitchen table sharing great stories.
