There just might be a little Generative AI in their technology stacks, but their stories will equally emphasize the importance of repeatable processes and designing work with people to achieve full adoption.

Mike recently purchased two businesses and will share his experience implementing changes to improve processes and create “wow” experiences for customers and employees. Jordan works with generative AI tools to improve the efficiency of sales professionals and customer relationship management. David is an Innovation Consultant working with a local $70M company to take a Human-Centered approach to the significant changes they’re undertaking to improve quality, increase employee engagement, and drive top and bottom-line growth.

PANELISTS

Mike Fitton, CEO of Home Technology Solutions and No Shorts Electric

Mike is a graduate of Miami University. He spent the first two decades of his career at the intersection of technology and marketing. In 2011, Mike became Marketo certified and has led enterprise-level Marketo integrations at multiple companies. Prior to founding Fitton Group, Mike was most recently Head of Marketing for BNI Global, a worldwide business networking organization with over 11,000 chapters globally and over 300,000 members. In 2019, Mike started Fitton Group, LLC with the intention of acquiring businesses in the electrical and custom integration industries.

Mike is the owner of Home Technology Solutions, a premier provider of residential and commercial networking, automation, surveillance, security, and AV solutions which he acquired in August 2019. In September 2023, he acquired No Shorts Electric, which provides full service electrical services to both homes and businesses in the Carolinas.

Jordan Ledwein, Co-Founder Sales Lift and The AI Sales Guy

Jordan was first exposed to sales training in middle school when he attended classes in his Dad’s Sander Sales Training business. Years later Jordan skipped a week of classes his junior year of college to become one of the youngest Sandler Certified Trainers in the network. Jordan holds a BS in Economics from Clemson University and has worked in B2B sales and as a Sandler Sales Trainer.

In 2022, Jordan shifted his focus to AI & Automation as he realized the potential impact it would have for his clients. In January 2023, he first published a newsletter on LinkedIn: The AI Sales Guy and is a partner at Sales Lift – a HubSpot consulting agency focused on adding AI & Automation to the sales process.

David Phillips, Founder of Faster Glass

In 2010, David established Faster Glass with the intention of merging his enthusiasm for disseminating innovation and design principles, his refusal to passively adhere to the status quo, and his fondness for engaging with and learning from others.

David spent six years at Bank of America where he developed and led programs focused on integrating the principles of innovation into a Six Sigma culture. He also served as a subject matter expert “on loan” to China Construction Bank as they built their new product innovation lab. Prior to his time in financial services, David served in a wide range of capacities in public accounting, public education, and the U.S. Air Force.

David draws on his diversity of experience to approach situations from different perspectives and to enable others to do the same. Based in Charlotte, David also enjoys being a husband, father, photographer, musician, and mountain biker, even as he is often reminded of his amateur status in all five endeavors.

David earned a B.S. in Education (cum laude) from Louisiana Tech University.

Emory Simmons, CMIT Solutions Metrolina

Emory is a long-time member and past President of CBEX. Emory is passionate about excellence in customer service and managing cybersecurity risks. He is the owner of CMIT Solutions Metrolina, an IT managed services provider of solutions for the anywhere business. Emory and his wife are longtime residents of Charlotte and proud USC Gamecock alumni. Emory is our moderator for this illustrious panel.
