About this Event
Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity have agreed on new goals to guide global action through 2030 to halt and reverse nature loss.
After years of negotiations, the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework was adopted at COP15. It sets a precedent for a joint roadmap to address the ecological crisis and head towards a more nature-positive world.
For those who would like to participate in the opportunity to unpack the results and dive in deeper, the Amsterdam Sustainability Institute organises a debrief of the conference as part of the lecture series SDG Academy.
What are the key outcomes of the negotiations, and which steps have to be taken now? Our speakers, who participated in person in Montreal, Canada, share their insights on what the new framework entails.
On January 19, Thursday from 16.00 to 17.00h at the Green Office VU (Main building basement next to the cafeteria), Dr Ina Lehmann, Assistant Professor of Governance of Global Biodiversity in the Department of Environmental Policy Analysis at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) and (INSERT NAME) will share their reflections and discuss which roles stakeholders around the world have now.
