Join us at BPZOO, to celebrate and learn about all our cool cats! We will have special cat encounters, crafts, activities, face painting, and a raffle to raise money to support conservation!
This event is free with zoo admission.
Meet the Cats of Buttonwood Park Zoo. From house cats to powerful wild predators, the cats at Buttonwood Park Zoo help inspire a deeper understanding of wildlife conservation. Each species has a unique story and plays an important role in connecting visitors with the natural world.
Found throughout much of North America, including right here in New England, bobcats face growing threats from habitat loss, vehicle collisions, and exposure to rodenticides.
Buttonwood Park Zoo also participates in the AZA Species Survival Plan® for bobcats. Like the cougar program, this SSP focuses on providing permanent homes for rescued and rehabilitated bobcats that cannot be released back into the wild, helping educate visitors about the conservation of these remarkable native predators.
