About this Event
Never has there been a better time to get ourselves organised on the ground around housing and bring our communities together to take collective action.
This year's CATU Ireland Spring School will focus on tools for community organising.
From 11-12 we'll:
- Learn from the history of rent strikes in Ireland
- Learn tools to research and target landlords' business interests.
From 12:30-3:00pm we'll:
- Learn about community organising, how to build clear demands on local housing issues, going door to door, building diverse groups and taking action that channels anger, gets tangible wins and opens up the possibility of a better life for everyone in the community.
- apply community organising tools to real life problems, like a massive eviction situation, public land being sold off and much more.
Join us on February 5th and bring a friend! This event is open to CATU members and interested non-members alike.
