Cat’s Out The Bag is a new dynamic party band with our aim being to keep you singing and dancing. Some songs flow seamlessly into others, for a non-stop groove.
Disco, Funk, Rock and Pop.
Performing world hits from artists such as: Queen, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Guns n’ Roses, Dua Lipa, Daft Punk, Black Eyed Peas, Journey and many more! From the 70s to now, vintage to contemporary. Sing loud, dance freely, and have fun with us on this First Thursday!

The band was formed by Conor Mitchell McCullagh, son of Mike McCullagh of McCully Workshop and Mike & The Harmonix.
About the band:
Sjanél has been singing on Cape Town stages since 2011. Singing with bands like Mel Botes and Mike & The Harmonix. Doing Pink Floyd, ABBA and 80s tributes. Her vocals range from pop, rock to ballads.
Rob Ogilvie is a freelance drummer who has had experience in many musical settings. He has played in Pop and Rock bands, function and cover bands. He has played in different theatre productions including the Barnyard and the Fugards award-winning productions of The Rocky Horror Show, Cabaret and West Side Story. He has also played with Justin Bergh opening for Bryan Adams around the country.
Neil Payten is the bassist for CAT’S OUT THE BAG as well as MIKE & THE HARMONIX show band. Neil started playing piano at age 11 and has since gone on to play the drums, guitar and bass guitar. He has played locally at all the major music festivals including OPPIKOPPI, WOODSTOCK and UP THE CREEK, as well as touring throughout South Africa. He has written and performed songs that have been play-listed on MTV, 5FM, VARSITY RADIO and overseas radio stations in the U.S.A, Australia and Europe. In 2005 he spent time performing abroad and to date has released two albums, and continues to produce music for other artists. Neil was previously with well-known bands AXENT, KELVIN DECLINED, VOD and MONTREUX. He regularly performs shows at various theatres and restaurants, and continues to be involved in theatre productions as well as original music projects.
Uzair Abader is a keyboardist who has been performing live for the past two years, playing live music across town and building a strong presence on the local scene. He is also a member of Hannah Ray and the Perfect Strangers and Indecisive Inc., bringing versatility and energy to every performance.
Conor Mitchell McCullagh has been playing guitar professionally for 3 years, being part of previous bands: Rhythm Inc. and Higher Action. He is also a composer, composing music for video games, TV, movies and other media, as well as previously teaching students guitar and drums. Conor has previously played with Mike & The Harmonix in various shows as well as playing lead guitar in McCully Workshop for a one-off show at the Grand West Arena to around 5000 people.
