Please note, as requested by RSPCA staff:
  • Appropriate footwear, clothing and a hat are required to participate in all activities.
  • As a working shelter the RSPCA routinely uses peanut butter through the facilities as part of enrichment activities. If your child has allergies please advise.
  • The RSPCA programs have been specifically developed with the age of children (8-12 years old) of the participants in mind to make your child’s experience as enjoyable and impactful as possible.
  • The RSPCA staff aim to make their programs as interactive as possible. However participants should not expect to interact closely or handle our shelter animals.
  • Although there is often the opportunity to meet and pat one of the furry friends, this cannot be guaranteed. The aim of the program is to learn about animals and how we can improve their lives. In line with this messaging, the RSPCA prioritise the welfare of our shelter animals and wish to minimise any unnecessary stress upon them.
  • To be best prepared, please advise if your child has any special requirements.
