Every year, as the marigolds bloom and candles flicker, families begin building their Ofrenda. These beautiful altars welcome their ancestors and loved ones home.
On this night La Catrina, the elegant Lady of Death, glides quietly through the streets. She is not there to frighten, but to remind everyone – death belongs to us all. Her smile is gentle and kind as she passes each altar. Admiring the Love woven into every candle, every flower, and every photograph. Altars are adorned with treats, drink, and trinkets, each item telling a story of a loved one no longer with us, but behind the veil.
