A boutique rye experience with the master distiller and delicious bites at PKL
Catoctin Creek® was founded by Becky and Scott Harris in 2009 as the first legal distillery in Loudoun County since before Prohibition. The distillery is located in Purcellville, Virginia, in the heart of the Loudoun Valley. Virginia is the birthplace of American whiskey, and Catoctin Creek, faithfully dedicates themselves to that tradition, producing Virginia's most awarded whisky: Roundstone Rye!
The name "Catoctin" is a regional name. Pronounced Ka-TOCK-tin, the name derives from the Indian tribal name "Kittocton" which, legend has it, meant "place of many deer". Catoctin describes a range of mountains and the eponymous creek which flows picturesquely past the distillery and into the Potomac River and Chesapeake Watershed.
Catoctin Creek believes in high quality food and spirits. The distillery sources their grain and fruit from local sources, free of pesticides and chemical additives that would come through in the spirits they produce. The results are the finest, cleanest spirits possible, with the greatest attention to detail in every single bottle.

From 6-6:30pm, you'll be welcomed with a Manhattan
Around 6:30pm, we will taste four expressions: Catoctin Creek Roundstone Rye - 80 Proof, 92 Proof, Cask Proof, and the Catoctin Creek Hot Honey Rye.
Our whiskey experience will be accompanied with heavy appetizers from PKL. PKL's kitchen is run by a world-championship award-winning BBQ concept (Pig Beach) founded by NYC restaurateur Rob Shawger and fellow renowned pitmasters Matt Abdoo and Shane McBride. Matt & Shane are two elite chefs who left NYC’s Michelin-starred restaurants to pursue meat smokin’ mastery. Matt actually got his start in Boston! The menu will feature some Pig Beach classics that may include pulled pork shoulder, beef brisket, and an array of delicious bites to compliment.
