Cathy Waller Co Free Summer Workshop for vocational & professional dancers

As part of the You & Us tour, Cathy Waller Company will lead a series of free workshops that use movement to bring to life the 9 stunning images of the Unseen / Unmasked exhibition. Each workshop is geared towards a different group of participants.
Thursday 3 September 10:30am - 1:30pm: for vocational and professional dancers
Friday 4 September 10:30am - 1:30pm: for adults and mature people with a range of abilities
Saturday 5th September 9:30am - 12:00pm: for young people with a range of abilities
The exhibition, 9 x A0 framed portraits that explore identity and neurodivergence, will be displayed on easels in the Drawing Studio at AUB. They’ll be used to inspire conversation about the theme of visibility - what we chose to show and hide from the world - and this dialogue will generate site-sensitive movement material amid the artwork.
The sessions will begin with a friendly, feel-good movement class set to music, led by Cathy. Together, participants will then create choreography inspired by the portraits, bringing them to life through movement and shared creativity.
