Join us at Casements Bar for a brand new outdoor ambient film series celebrating queer stories across comedy, history, and contemporary life.
Each screening supports the mental health services of nonprofit counseling Queer LifeSpace, helping provide affordable, sliding-scale therapy to economically vulnerable LGBTQIA+ populations across the Bay Area.
Queer LifeSpace also runs an internationally recognized clinical training program for the next generation of queer-affirming therapists. They are out on the frontlines, protecting and fortifying the resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community.
WHY THIS SERIES EXISTS
Queer stories have always been a source of connection, resilience, and joy. This ambient series brings those stories into a shared third space, where community forms naturally and conversations continue long after the credits roll.
Every optional ticket (suggested $15 donation) is a tax-deductible gfit that directly supports Queer LifeSpace’s work:
- Providing low-cost, sliding-scale therapy to LGBTQIA+ clients
- Training the next generation of queer-affirming clinicians
- Expanding access to care for underserved communities
This is more than a just queer film series. It is a space to gather, reflect, and give back.
HOW IT WORKS
- Standard tickets are free; suggested donation tickets are $15
- This is an ambient screening series. Films and episodes play on the back patio with subtitles; most screenings will begin around 7:30pm, or 8:00pm in June and July (due to later sunset)
- Seating is casual and social—come early to grab a spot
- Limited reserved seating available for VIP season pass donors
- Food and drinks are available for purchase at the bar
- Ambient screenings are designed as a relaxed, communal experience, to be played while people socialize at the bar
