Cathedral Window Wallhanging Class with Nora

Cathedral Window is a quilt pattern made from folded fabric squares resembling stained glass windows. This technique is not your Grandmother’s Cathedral Window. Vintage cathedral windows are usually hand sewn using a muslin background and colorful fabric scraps for the “window panes”. And unlike most quilts, it often lacks batting and backing, relying on the folded layers for weight and warmth. This project is all machine stitched and quilt as you go. This project can be scrappy or planned. Anything goes. I’ve attached a few samples at the end for inspiration. There are four size options offered for this class – mug rug, pillow; small wallhanging or large wallhanging.
