About this Event
May 6, 2026 at 7 pm at Christ’s Church Cathedral, the Cathedral Chat will focus on Intimate Partner Violence, gender-based violence and sexual violence, which is impacting many individuals and families. People across all economical, cultural and social backgrounds are affected. There are barriers experienced by survivors in reaching out for help and/or escaping the violence. It is critical that we promote healthy relationships in our community to help reduce gender-based violence.
This dynamic panel of persons with lived experience, service providers and policy makers will:
- Educate you on real life stories of the challenges of escaping and seeking help for Intimate Partner Violence, gender-based violence and sexual violence
- Identify the community supports available in our City of Hamilton
- Highlight the gaps in the current system
- Identify the evidence-based solutions and changes require to end Intimate Partner Violence, gender-based violence and sexual violence
- Provide actions which you can take to advocate for the eradication of Intimate Partner Violence, gender-based violence and sexual violence
Limited free parking is available at the rear of the Cathedral which is off Hughson St. N. between Robert and Barton.
