It's been a hot summer, but the rivers are still flowing! The trail from the parking lot at Stone and College, as well as this section of river will have a fair amount of direct sun, so hats and sunglasses are recommended! Please consider refraining from wearing sunblock or sunscreen on legs and feet for those who plan to enter the water. ;)
We will bring a net and bucket, and families are also encouraged to bring nets if they have any. :) We can look for crayfish in this area, and enjoy wading (or soaking if anyone is so inclined) in this section of the Speed River.
Vehicle Parking is available in the lot at the intersection where Stone Rd West becomes College Ave.
PLEASE BE ADVISED: This parking lot and section of trail is a leash-free zone. Please PM me for an alternate parking area if you or anyone in your family/group has canine-related anxieties and would prefer a more direct route to our site at the river.
