Catch a Break! Learn Netting! - Summer Camp

Dates: Mon Jul 20, 9am - 12 pm. Sales end: Jul 13, 5pm. Ticket: $40. Instructor: Claudia The Orange Goddess. Materials fee: $2 if you bring cord, $5 for instructor-supplied. Skills Needed: none. Class Limit: 6. Class Location: 2nd floor, small weaving room. Minimum Age: 12 years old.

Learn the ancient art of Net Making. We’ll learn 2-3 different methods of making a net using a Netting Shuttle. Shuttles will be available for purchase after class.

Minimum age for registration is 12 years old. A minor must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Supplies to Bring:

• adjustable clamp (if you have one similar to the kind shown in the class photo) or a medium to large C-clamp.
• scissors
• $5 materials fee payable to the instructor at start of class. Cash, Paypal or Venmo only accepted. Materials will include 35yds nylon cord #18, net gauge, 2" plastic ring, & plastic clip. If you bring your own cord, the fee will be $2.
• A snack and beverages if desired.

If you are not feeling well, please contact the instructor instead of coming to the class. On a case-by-case basis, we may be able to reschedule you into a future class or provide a make-up lesson. Ticket fees are not normally refunded.

Depending on the CDC Guidelines for Hamilton County at the time the class is held, a mask may be required. If so, you will be notified before the first class.

Unless specifically stated, Weavers Guild classes are designed for ages 18 and above. On a case-by-case basis, a minor may be permitted to register for a class but must be accompanied by a registered adult who agrees to assist the minor during the class.

Fees are non-refundable. Your fee will only be refunded if the class is canceled or changed to a different date. Three registrations are required for a class to be held. Students will be notified before the start date if a class is canceled due to an insufficient number of students. Eventbrite processing and credit card payment fees will not be refunded if a student cancels for any reason.
