Catan Pirate Division Local Qualifier

* This event takes place during the Awesome Con convention. Participants must have an Awesome Con attendee badge to take part in the painting class. *

Build the longest road! Amass the largest army! Then, roll the dice and send the robber to foil your foes! Awesome Con is hosting a 32-person local qualifying event in the US CATAN National Championships tournament series!

The US CATAN National Championship is now a 16-player tournament. This change goes into effect for the 2025-2026 season. Individual Local Qualifier winners are now eligible to compete in their Regional Preliminary. To earn a seat at the US CATAN National Championship, players must place in the top 4 of a Regional Preliminary.

In the CATAN Championship program, players worldwide compete in national tournaments to become their country’s National Champion. National Champions also compete in international events in off-years from the Worlds. Every two years CATAN Studio sends the United States National Champions to the CATAN World Championship tournament. The 2026 United States Champion will compete in the 2027 World Championship, location and date TBD. The 2026 United States champion will also compete in the 2028 CATAN Americas Championship.

NOTE: All participants must be residents of the United States and be 18+ years of age. You should be able to prove residency with an official ID card and/or a piece of mail (such as a utility bill) sent to a United States residential address. Winners of current season Local Qualifier Tournaments are not allowed to play in additional Local Qualifier events in the same Region leading up to the next National Championship.
