The Catalina Art Association is hosting the 1st Annual Catalina Island Mermaid Festival, a magical, family-friendly celebration of ocean art, music, and mythical sea creatures!Festivities kick off with a Mermaid and Ocean-Themed Art Festival along Crescent Ave, where local artists showcase their sea-inspired creations. Throughout the weekend, enjoy live music and a beer garden, with a special Saturday night performance on the Wrigley Stage.
On Saturday, don’t miss the Rubber Ducky Derby hosted by the Avalon Interact Club — and keep your eyes peeled for a surprise mermaid sighting during the race!

A “Build a Mermaid Tail in the Sand” contest on South Beach
