The Black Magic Canada Tour brings Casual, Pep Love, Asun Eastwood, and Daniel Son across Canada for a September run built around legacy, lyricism, and independent hip-hop culture.
The tour supports Casual’s Black Magic album, a new project that continues his reputation for sharp bars, raw delivery, and fearless MC work. As a founding member of Hieroglyphics, Casual has helped shape the sound and spirit of independent Bay Area Hip-Hop, and Black Magic represents the next chapter in that legacy.
Joining him is Pep Love, another essential voice from the Hieroglyphics family, adding deeper history and strength to the lineup. The tour also features Asun Eastwood and Daniel Son, two Canadian artists who are “next up” and connect the run directly to Canada’s current underground hip-hop scene.
More than a concert tour, the Black Magic Canada Tour is a cultural exchange between the Bay Area and Canada, connecting loyal Hiero fans, new listeners, local artists, venues, promoters, and partners across the country.
Casual is one of the most technically gifted MCs to emerge from the Bay Area. His 1994 debut Fear Itself arrived in the same period as ‘93 'til Infinity, cementing the Hieroglyphics crew as the dominant voice of West Coast underground hip-hop. Known for rapid-fire delivery, complex rhyme schemes, and an unmistakable Oaklandness, Casual has continued to release music and perform for over three decades - always under the Hiero banner, always independent.
Pep Love remains one of the most popular MCs in the Hieroglyphics camp. Coming off with such a smooth flow, Pep's voice, in conjunction with his well thought-out and clever verbals, continue to astound fans worldwide.
