🎃 Coolers Icehouse Presents: Cast Iron Cook-off – Halloween Edition! 👻
Mark your calendars for Friday, November 1st as Coolers Icehouse brings back the Cast Iron Cook-off—with a spooky twist just in time for Halloween! Dust off your cauldrons, sharpen those ladles, and get ready for a day full of delicious food, friendly competition, and wicked fun.
Competitors will be judged in two hauntingly delicious categories:
🪄 “It’s All Gravy, Baby” – Show off your best gravy or sauce, conjuring flavors so good they’re almost magical.
🦇 “Yes, I’m the Side Piece” – Craft a side dish that isn’t just an accompaniment but a spellbinding showstopper!
Our panel of judges will evaluate each dish based on taste, presentation, use of cast iron, and overall culinary excellence. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
✨ Overall Winner
✨ Most Creative/Unique Gravy
✨ Best Side Dish
Plus, attendees can sample the competitors’ entries and vote for their favorite in the ✨ People’s Choice Award ✨. Grab a tasting band for $15 on the day of the event, which gives you access to:
- Sample every competitor's dish
- A drink ticket
- One ballot to cast your vote for People's Choice
👨‍🍳 For Competitors:
- Entry Fee: $50 (includes one bucket of domestic beer)
- Prizes: Large cash prizes and gift baskets for winners in each category
- Set-Up & Cooking: Arrive as early as 7:00 AM; check-in opens at 9:00 AM
- Judging: Begins at 2:30 PM
