Join Cass Art staff artists for a 2.5 hour "Monoprint like Matisse" workshop at Liverpool Art Fair inside The Royal Liver Building.

This hands-on printmaking workshop invites participants to explore the creative process of Monoprinting using gelli plates and block printing. Perfect for beginners and seasoned creatives alike, the session focuses on creating and decorating patterns on paper using unconventional tools to explore mark making techniques. Participants will use the papers they’ve created to build Matisse-inspired cutout collages. Through guided exploration, participants will experiment with layout, colour and composition of the patterned parts to form an artistic masterpiece.

Whether you're a beginner wanting to dabble in a new medium or simply wish to enjoy an afternoon of printing, this workshop offers a welcoming, playful environment designed to inspire creativity and connection with nature through print and collage.

Your workshop will be led by friendly Cass Art Liverpool staff artists who will guide you through the process and can answer your questions about the materials used.

Age: this workshop is suitable for 14+

Materials provided: Gelly plates, printing blocks, papers, variety of printing inks and acrylics, scissors, glue
Important Notice: Please bring or wear an old T-shirt or apron as printing can be a messy process, so caution is required to protect clothing.
