There are over 300 waterfalls in western North Carolina . Join naturalist, educator storyteller, Eric on a wondrous journey to discover the amazing waterfalls here in Western North Carolina. Through a visual presentation together we will learn about the various types of waterfalls, discover some of our most dramatic waterfalls and find out how these mesmerizing geological features form.
Eric Young retired down to North Carolina in 2020 after 23 years as a program director at the nature center on Long island. He has dedicated his life to the field of environmental education over his 35 years. Eric has a Masters in Outdoor Teacher Education and has done workshops and presentations at various institutions and conferences and worked for the NWF at the Ranger Rick wildlife camp in the 80s.
