Have you every visited Cascade Springs Nature Preserve?? If not, you can join us, the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA for short), and HOKA for some plogging and most importantly a trail cleanup! Check out Merriam-Webster’s “plogging” definition and history ? We’ll be meeting up on Saturday, September 11th at 10AM in the preserve parking lot (2852 Cascade Rd, Atlanta, GA 30311).
Cascade Springs is a 135-acre urban greenspace in southwest Atlanta and contains one of the oldest extent forests within the city limits. It is also one of the three greenspaces managed by the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance alongside Lionel Hampton-Beecher Hills Nature Preserve and the Outdoor Activity Center, an urban forest preserve and nature center.
Join us for some miles and conservation work! I’ve even heard that we’ll be raffling off a pair of the new Anacapa hikers…
