Join us at Casa de Las Ofrendas for the 2026 Austin Studio Tour, featuring the work of Indigenous Maya and Xinka artist and Las Ofrendas founder, tk tunchez.
Throughout both weekends, tk will showcase her handmade flower crowns, and jewelry. With over 15 years of experience creating flower crowns, her work celebrates cultural traditions, ancestral knowledge, and creative expression through art and adornment.
First 20 purchasers per day will receive complimentary swag bags filled with Las Ofrendas' retail goodies!
As part of the Austin Studio Tour, FLORECER for Intergenerational Wealth will also present a series of FREE, hands-on community art workshops led by local Latine artists and creatives.
At FLORECER, we recognize that supporting local artists, creatives, and culture bearers is an important part of preserving, promoting, and celebrating our culturas. By creating opportunities for artists to share their knowledge and creativity with our communities, we contribute to the continuation of our cultural traditions and the building of intergenerational wealth.
Each participating artist will also be showcasing their work at Casa de Las Ofrendas on the day of their workshop.
FREE Community Workshop Schedule
Saturday, November 14 | 12–2 PM
Skull Still Life: Oil Painting with Bieke Campos
Explore the fundamentals of oil painting, including underpainting, depth, and dimension, while creating artwork inspired by a skull still life. Beginner-friendly, no experience necessary. Ages 13 and older.
Sunday, November 15 | 3–5 PM
Poems & Collages of Resistance with Ángel Avila
Explore resistance through found poetry, creative writing, and collage. Participants will transform words and images from existing materials into original works of art that reflect their personal understanding of resistance. All materials provided. Limited to 10 participants.
Saturday, November 21 | 1–3 PM
Open Wall: Spray Paint Workshop with Eddie Martinez
Learn basic spray painting techniques and experience the creative process of mural-making on a temporary open wall. Participants will have the freedom to experiment and create their own artwork. All ages welcome; children require close adult supervision. Please wear clothing appropriate for painting.
Sunday, November 22 | 1 PM
Flower Crown Workshop with tk tunchez
Learn to design and assemble your own one-of-a-kind flower crown while exploring color, composition, and creative expression. No experience necessary. All materials provided. Limited to 8 participants; RSVP required.
